Caitlin Clark Receives Personal Message Away From WNBA

Caitlin Clark will try to put Thursday’s heartbreaking loss to the Las Vegas Aces behind her. The Indiana Fever fell 86-84 in overtime after Clark missed two free throws with seven seconds left in regulation, allowing Chelsea Gray to tie the game with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer.

The three-time All-Star then committed a costly turnover during the final seconds in overtime before Gray hit another buzzer-beater to steal the win. Clark still finished with 20 points and eight rebounds, although she shot 7-for-20 and committed eight turnovers during the game.

While the result was disappointing, Clark had another memorable moment away from the court before the game.

Prior to tip-off, Clark spent time with the family of San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, including his 103-year-old grandmother, Lucky.

The NFL star acknowledged the moment by posting a photo of Clark and his family on Instagram:

“Thank you to Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever for taking care of my Grandma Lucky and my aunts!” Kittle wrote on his Stories.

Clark has regularly made time for fans and families before and after Fever games. Whether signing autographs, posing for pictures or taking a moment to speak with supporters, she has continued to create personal interactions around her games.

After suffering consecutive losses, Clark and the Fever will get another chance to bounce back on Saturday, when Indiana visits the Chicago Sky at United Center. The game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. The Fever (19-12) sit sixth in the WNBA standings but are just three games behind the Aces in second place.
