Even while sidelined with an injury, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark managed to grab the spotlight.
During the Fever’s recent matchup against the Golden State Valkyries, Clark was spotted courtside in a rare pair of unreleased sneakers: the Travis Scott x Fragment x Air Jordan 1 Low.
Cameras caught Clark walking toward the locker room during a first-quarter clock malfunction. The sneakers Clark wore are part of a three-way collaboration between Houston rapper Travis Scott, Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design and Jordan Brand.
The upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low colorway reworks Fujiwara’s 2021 sample but carries Scott’s signature touches, including the backwards Nike Swoosh.

The unreleased pair features an aged midsole, matching Sail laces and bold Military Blue accents on the heel, collar and insole. Fans also noticed the collaboration logos, Cactus Jack and Fragment Design, embossed on opposite heels, making it clear who shaped the design.
The sneakers are expected to release this year, making Clark one of the first public figures to be seen in them.
Clark has long been known for her sneaker game. Over her short time in the WNBA, she has been seen in multiple Travis Scott collaborations, from Indiana Pacers-inspired yellow-and-blue pairs to neutral browns and blacks.
While Clark’s sneakers stood out, the Fever’s on-court results told another story. The Valkyries defeated Indiana 75-63, improving their record to 21-18. The Fever, now 21-19, slipped slightly in the standings as the postseason race tightens.
Clark has missed most of her second WNBA season due to injury, a setback that has forced the Fever to adjust. Indiana has also lost Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson to season-ending injuries.
Clark’s averages of 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game show her importance when healthy. With her sidelined, forward Aliyah Boston has carried much of the load, contributing 15.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game to keep Indiana’s playoff hopes alive.
For now, Clark continues to rehab as the Fever fight for positioning in the postseason race. Off the court, her choice of sneakers reminded everyone that even without playing, she remains a headline figure in both basketball and culture.
