Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark delivered more than just points and passes in the season opener — she also responded to NBA legend LeBron James with a heartfelt message after his public support on social media.

Before the Fever’s 93–58 win over the Chicago Sky on Saturday, James posted a photo of himself with Clark on Instagram.

“Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!!” he wrote in the caption.

James tagged Clark and showed the world that he’s paying close attention to her WNBA journey.

Clark didn’t let the moment pass. She responded with simple but powerful words: “The greatest of all time. Thank you.”

In her second WNBA season, the 22-year-old guard showed why so many — including James — believe in her potential. She recorded a triple-double in the Fever’s blowout win: 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, dominating the stat sheet and leading her team with poise.

The connection between James and Clark has been building for over a year. As fellow Nike athletes, James has praised Clark’s game and work ethic several times.

On his “Mind the Game ” podcast with Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick last year, James spoke highly of her impact.

Caitlin Clark is the reason why a lot of great things are gonna happen for the WNBA,” he said. “She’s changing the game.”

Now, backed by LeBron James and carrying sky-high expectations, Clark is showing that she’s more than ready for Year 2. And with fans — and NBA stars — watching closely, she’s determined to keep proving she belongs at the top.
