Caitlin Clark still has a little bit of time off before she really has to get into the swing of things as she preps for the WNBA season. As part of her time off, she's eyeing an interesting role at an MLB promotional night.

Earlier today the Chicago Cubs announced a chocolate chip cookie recipe contest where they'll determine who has the best chocolate chip cookie recipe around. Clark - perhaps against the wishes of her dietician - quickly took to social media to volunteer as the official "taste tester."

"Would love to be the taste tester," she wrote.

The Cubs almost immediately responded with a resounding "ABSOLUTELY."

MLB fans were pretty amused by the idea, especially with the team starting 4-6 and sitting dead last in the NL Central.

"We might need her to pitch for the cubs by the way it sounds," one user joked.

"Nothing going to stand in the way of Caitlin and her chocolate chip cookies," wrote another.

"Caitlin, the Cubs, and Chocolate Chip Cookies. My 3 favorite things all in one tweet. It’s a good day to be alive," a third wrote.

Clark in 2026

To say that 2025 was rough for Clark would be a pretty massive understatement. Injuries limited her to just 13 games and the Fever just made the WNBA playoffs by the skin of their teeth without her, only to fall to the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.

Expectations are that Clark will be healthy and dominant for the Fever in 2026. The team is paying top dollar to ensure that their team has all of the pieces Clark needs to do just that.
