Caitlin Clark reportedly has a close relationship with college softball pitcher, Teagan Kavan, which was revealed recently. Clark’s relationship with Kavan was highlighted during the ESPN broadcast of the Women’s College World Series. Apparently, Clark’s relationship with Kavan goes back a few years to when she actually coached the pitcher who was back then playing high school basketball.
Teagan Kavan has been playing college softball for the Texas Longhorns since 2024 and was also named Big 12 Freshman of the Year. As of now, Kavan has been named the best pitcher in the WCWS, having played for 17 innings with a 0.41 ERA and no extra-base hits allowed.
Both Clark and Kavan are from Iowa, and the softball pitcher herself has come out to talk about their relationship in an interview a couple of months back. While they created a bond when Clark was coaching Kavan in her high school days, the two have apparently fallen out of touch with each other after the Indiana Fever star went to play college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

While Caitlin Clark may not be in touch with Teagan Kavan a lot, the Indiana Fever point guard mentioned to reporters last year that she is still maintaining a close watch on the pitcher. Clark has not only been interested in her beloved sport, basketball, but also takes an interest in various other sports like golf and softball as well.
Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark seems to be focusing strongly on her recovery after injuring her quadriceps. According to recent reports, Clark’s injury will be re-evaluated this weekend. In recent conversations with reporters, the point guard revealed that she is in no hurry to return to play and will not be “rushing” back to the court.
Clark seems to know well that proper recovery and rehabilitation will ensure longevity in her career. She seems to be taking extra measures to properly heal herself and get back to playing for the Indiana Fever.
Without their hero Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever has been clearly struggling. The team lost three games in a row and recently managed a win against the Washington Mystics. As of now, the Indiana Fever is third in the Eastern Conference with three wins and four defeats and are seventh overall. The New York Liberty team is currently leading the table with eight wins and no defeats until now.
