Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was sensational for Team USA throughout the FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While she started just once in five games, it didn't stop her from filling up the stat sheet off the bench.
In USA Basketball's final game of the tournament against Spain, Clark tallied seven points and a team-high seven assists. Her production brought her total across five games to 58 points and 32 assists, both of which were the best on the team.
Clark also had the third-best plus-minus rating (+109) on the team, only behind Kelsey Plum (+112) and Rhyne Howard (+112).
With her performance, FIBA named Clark the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament.
"IT’S OFFICIAL. CAITLIN CLARK IS YOUR TISSOT MVP," FIBA wrote on Instagram.
Clark, for her part, was quick to show her appreciation for the honor after the awarding ceremony. On her Instagram Stories, she shared Team USA's post about her MVP win.
While she didn't write a caption in her post, the fact that she shared it highlights how happy she is with the development.

The basketball world also celebrated Clark's latest accomplishment. The Fever, in particular, flexed her MVP honor and congratulated her.
"MVP CC," the Fever wrote. "congrats to @caitlinclark22 on being named the MVP of the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament."
A fan added, "Super happy for CC and so proud. This MVP is deserved. She led in so many categories."
"So proud of my baby goat," a supporter added.
Team USA has already qualified for the FIBA Women's World Cup in Berlin, Germany, scheduled for September. Sure enough, it will be interesting to see whether Clark will be called up for the national team once again and whether she can be as impactful as she was in Puerto Rico.
