Indiana wrapped up the 2024 WNBA regular season with a 20-20 record, marking the franchise’s highest win total since 2015 and first playoff appearance since 2016.
This resurgence was fueled by Caitlin Clark’s seamless transition to the professional ranks, leading the league in assists (8.4 per game) while scoring 19.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, becoming the first rookie since Candace Parker in 2008 to be named to the All-WNBA First Team.
However, now a year removed from Clark's WNBA debut, it's her former Fever teammate, Celeste Taylor, who's making headlines.
On Tuesday, Grand Canyon University announced on X that Taylor accepted a position on their women’s basketball coaching staff for the 2025-26 season.

Taylor joins head coach Winston Gandy's staff at GCU, who she had previously worked with at Duke: Taylor as a star guard and Gandy on Kara Lawson’s staff as an assistant coach.
Taylor emerged as one of the top two-way players in college basketball during her time at Duke, where she earned the 2023 ACC Defensive Player of the Year honor and was named to the All-ACC First Team.
After beginning her collegiate career at Texas and later playing at Ohio State, Taylor was selected 15th overall in the second round of the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Fever, behind Clark, who was Indiana's first round selection.
Taylor appeared in five games for Indiana before being waived on June 25.
Shortly thereafter, she signed seven-day contracts with the Phoenix Mercury and the Connecticut Sun before eventually signing a rest-of-season contract with the Mercury.
While playing overseas for the Sydney Flames, Taylor suffered a foot injury that ended her playing season and ultimately influenced her decision to pivot toward coaching.
