Caitlin Clark missed out on the Indiana Fever's biggest game of the season after being ruled out with a lingering groin injury.

As it turns out, the Fever were more than capable of taking down the Minnesota Lynx without their cornerstone superstar. That's exactly what Indiana did, defeating the defending champs on their own home court, 74-59.

Clark joined her team for the game, playing the role of a cheerleader from the bench. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year then took to social media to share her immediate reaction to the Fever winning their first-ever Commissioner's Cup championship.

"My girls did their thing !!!!!! So proud!! Lfggggg❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️" she posted on X.

Clark then took to Instagram to send a similar message addressed to her teammates.

"Yupppppp so proud," she wrote.

The rest of the squad stepped it up in Clark's stead, with veteran forward Natasha Howard (16 points, 12 rebounds, four assists) turning in a strong performance to secure the Commissioner's Cup MVP title.

Aliyah Boston (12 points, 11 rebounds, six assists), Kelsey Mitchell (12 points, three assists) and Sophie Cunningham (13 points, seven rebounds, three triples) also chipped in as well in what was a concerted effort from the Fever.

More of the same could be expected from Clark's supporting cast in the immediate future as the 23-year-old continues to nurse her groin issue. The Fever have yet to confirm when Clark will be able to return to action, and her status for their next game--Thursday against the Las Vegas Aces--currently remains up in the air.

Based on what we saw from the Fever on Tuesday night, however, there's no denying that this team is still a formidable force even without Clark in the lineup.
