Caitlin Clark’s Offseason Move Emerges on Tuesday

Caitlin Clark entered the 2025 WNBA season with high expectations after her standout rookie year, and early performances suggested she was ready to meet them. The Indiana Fever guard opened the campaign with highlight-reel assists, deep three-pointers, and a string of impressive outings that reaffirmed her star status. However, injuries soon disrupted her rhythm, and what began as a promising year quickly turned into a frustrating one for the Fever guard.

Clark was ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a groin injury, ending her sophomore campaign after just 13 games. It was a tough blow for both Clark and the Fever, who had built much of their offensive system around her playmaking and perimeter shooting.

While Clark continues her recovery, she’s been seen enjoying her downtime during the offseason and staying active in the public eye. On Sunday, Clark was also spotted at the Indianapolis Colts game, where she received a warm reception from fans.

Later that day, she attended Adam Sandler’s “You’re My Best Friend” comedy tour stop in Indianapolis, appearing alongside comedian Nick Swardson. Swardson later shared a photo with Clark on his Instagram Stories, confirming her attendance.

Aside from attending high profile events, the 23-year-old has also continued expanding her brand. On Oct. 1, she released her long-awaited Nike collection, which drew rave reviews and quickly sold out online. Despite offers to participate in the new 3×3 basketball league Unrivaled, Clark has reportedly turned them down (via Front Office Sports), choosing instead to prioritize her full recovery and preparation for next season.

Before her injury, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 5.0 rebounds in 13 appearances, earning a 2025 WNBA All-Star selection. Her absence was deeply felt, although the Fever managed to reach the WNBA playoffs semi-finals before being eliminated by the Las Vegas Aces after five games.

As she focuses on rehabilitation, Indiana will be hopeful that Clark returns to full strength for 2026, ready to reclaim her role as one of the league’s most dynamic playmakers and the centerpiece of the Fever’s long-term plans.
