Caitlin Clark does not let distance get in the way of staying close and connected with her teammates ahead of the 2026 WNBA season, and Indiana Fever star Lexi Hull was the latest to find that out.
Hull chose to spend the latter half of her offseason vacationing in Cabo San Lucas after completing a busy offseason with Rose BC in Unrivaled. She took to Instagram to post a “quick reset” update, sharing several photos of herself with her fiancé Will Matthiessen.
Her post received lots of engagement, with CC joining in on the fun as she commented, “Didn’t know Will also does photography,” Clark wrote, before calling the development “amazing news.”
It is worth noting that this comment comes after Clark took a liking for photography as a hobby, and she herself posts her clicks occasionally on social media.
She also served as a credentialed photographer on March 25 during an NBA game between the Indiana Pacers and the Los Angeles Lakers, where the 24-year-old captured and posted several photos of her favourite player, LeBron James.
Apart from this comment, Clark also simply wrote, “Hot”. She was not the only Indiana player to have commented, as Aliyah Boston also added “Oooooweeeee
”. Aerial Powers shared a similar sentiment, writing, “
”.
After receiving all these comments, is it safe to assume that Lexie Hull will be included in Fever’s five protected players for the April 3 Expansion Draft?
Hull is a restricted free agent after having spent her entire professional career in Indiana, so it makes sense for Indiana to protect her for purely sentimental reasons.
However, Hull has not spent four years with them just to be a bench player. She played a huge part as a locker room leader for Indiana to advance to the WNBA semifinals last season.
Besides, the 26-year-old is also a lethal three-point shooter and is willing to take and give damage from and to her opponents when required. Any coach in the world aspires to have a team player like Hull to count on.
Hull’s relationship with the face of Indiana has also transcended from their time playing together, as the two often attend off-court events together.
There is no doubt that Hull will be a welcome inclusion for the Indiana Fever’s dreams to clinch the WNBA title next season.
