Cameras Catch Caitlin Clark's Serious Exchange With Sophie Cunningham in Fever-Dream Game

Caitlin Clark was forced to sit out her fifth straight game on Tuesday night. The Indiana Fever star is still dealing with a lingering quad injury, and while she appears to be closing in on her return, the team has yet to confirm if she will be available for Saturday's game against the defending champions New York Liberty.

Indiana will head into that marquee matchup reeling from a loss. This is after they suffered a 77-58 blowout defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday.

As she has been over the past several games, Clark was relegated to a bench role as she watched her team struggle mightily against Atlanta.

A video of Clark from the game is currently making its rounds on social media. In it, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year is seen having a serious exchange with teammate Sophie Cunningham on the bench.

Clark signalled Cunningham to come closer to her before sending a brief message about what appears to be "empty possessions." Clark didn't have a smile on her face either, and it looked like she was all business as she spoke to Cunninham.

What cannot be denied at this point is that Clark would much rather be out there on the floor than sitting on the bench. The Fever have gone 2-3 during her extended absence, and it is clear that they, too, would love to get her back at the soonest possible time.

Indiana should provide another update on her injury in the coming days, which will likely determine whether Clark will be ready to play on Saturday against the champs.
