Although she came into the WNBA as one of the more promising players in the 2024 rookie class, it has been nearly a year since Cameron Brink has taken the floor for the Los Angeles Sparks.

The former No. 2 overall pick out of Stanford tore her ACL after 3:37 minutes of action in the team's June 18 game against the Connecticut Sun.

She has yet to make her return to the court, but as revealed in a recent interview with SLAM, she is eagerly awaiting her chance to take the floor with 2024 classmate Rickea Jackson, veteran Dearica Hamby and newly acquired star Kelsey Plum.

"I think it’s just doing everything I can to be back on the floor with these three amazing women, that’ll be a success for me,” Brink said when asked for her goal.

While fans and Brink alike are hoping her return to the floor is sometime soon, ESPN's Kendra Andrews reported on May 16 that the team has yet to lay out a timeline for her return to action.

Before going down with the injury last season, Brink played in and started 15 games, averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.3 blocks per game.

When Brink returns, the Sparks are getting someone who can easily be the best shot-blocker in the league, and a player who has an elite pedigree coming out of Stanford.

During her time in Palo Alto, Brink helped lead the team to a title in 2021, and was also named an All-American three times, was named Naismith Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 and was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year three times.

As for the Sparks, they have gotten off to a slow start to the season, as they currently sit at 1-2 on the year. They are set to take on the Golden State Valkyries Friday evening.
