Cameron Brink and the Los Angeles Sparks improved to 16-17 on the 2025 WNBA season and remain in the playoff hunt after defeating Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings 97-96 on Friday night.
Brink, in her eighth game since returning from an ACL injury, had a solid night for LA off the bench, recording three points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
Coming into the game, Brink had recorded 48 blocks throughout her two-year career.
With 5.3 seconds left in the third quarter, Brink blocked a 14-foot pull-up jumper from JJ Quinerly, marking her second block of the game and the 50th of her career.
That milestone tied Brink for the fifth-fastest player in WNBA history to reach 50 blocks, accomplishing it in just 23 games.
Brink is now tied with some all-time WNBA greats for fifth-fastest to reach 50 blocks, joining Sparks legend Lisa Leslie, New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart and Las Vegas Aces center Kiah Stokes (per Across the Timeline).
Former Utah Starzz forward Elena Baranova stands alone as the fourth-fastest to reach 50 blocks, doing so in 22 games. WNBA great Candace Parker ranks third, hitting the mark in just 20 games.
The record, however, belongs to former Starzz standout Margo Dydek and Atlanta Dream center Brittney Griner, both of whom reached 50 blocks in only 16 games.
