The WNBA offseason is very quiet right now, but fans will get to see some of their favorite players in action when the "Unrivaled" basketball league kicks off in January. And on Tuesday afternoon, the up-and-coming league shared a big Cameron Brink announcement that drew a quick reaction from the Los Angeles Sparks star.
Expectations were high for Brink during her rookie campaign in the WNBA, as she was selected with the second overall pick by the Sparks in the 2024 draft. She only managed to play in 15 games, though, as she suffered a torn ACL that ended her season prematurely.
Since then, Brink has been rehabbing in hopes of getting back on the court for the Sparks in 2025. On Tuesday, "Unrivaled" announced that Brink would be filling one of the final wild card spots the league left open after their initial roster unveiling, with Brink sending a three-word message to her fans after the news came out.
"Let's do this!" Brink said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, in response to the official post from Unrivaled Basketball.

Brink has signed a multi-year deal with the Lunar Owls, but the deal comes with a catch. The Sparks second-year star is still not fully healthy, so she won't be able to play during the upcoming 2025 campaign. Instead, she will be aiming to make her debut in 2026 when she's fully healthy.
It was a brief debut, but Brink showcased her potential during her time with the Sparks last year. She averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game on 39.8% shooting from the floor, while also chipping in 2.3 blocks and 1.1 steals per game.
"Unrivaled" is a new three-on-three league founded by WNBA superstars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier that is designed to give players an opportunity to keep their skills in tip-top shape during the lengthy offseason, while also giving them another source of income.
Fans will have to wait awhile to see Brink make her "Unrivaled" debut, but it's clear she's pumped to have joined the league. In the meantime, she will continue working hard behind the scenes in an effort to get herself ready for the Sparks upcoming campaign.
