The Indiana Fever are coming off one of their worst losses of the season on Tuesday night, falling 81-80 to the 9-24 Dallas Wings.
Despite the loss, the Fever have remained competitive without star point guard Caitlin Clark (groin), who has appeared in just 13 games this season. She’s been sidelined since before the All-Star break, missing the team’s last 11 games, yet the Fever have gone 6-5 during that stretch.
On Wednesday’s latest episode of WNBA legend Candace Parker and Fever star Aliyah Boston’s podcast "Post Moves," Parker issued a subtle warning to the league about the Fever’s potential when Clark returns, praising the play of Boston and fellow guard Kelsey Mitchell.
"When Caitlin gets back it's going to be scary from a backcourt standpoint," Parker said. "Because the two of them with the ball in their hands, without the ball, and as a post player your eyes have to light up. Because if there's that much attention from the backcourt, if you set screens, if you set early drags in transition... I mean the skies of what ya'll are able to accomplish."

The Fever are currently 18-15 overall, sitting in third place in the Eastern Conference with just 11 games remaining in the regular season. While Caitlin Clark has begun ramping up her conditioning, Fever head coach Stephanie White says there is still no timetable for her return.
“She’s been able to get a little bit more of her full-court running with all of her body weight,” White said Monday. “It’s really building up from doing minimal to then building some endurance to do longer periods of time. She’s been able to do a little bit more on the court in terms of how she moves, but not into practice yet.”
This season, Clark is averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals in the games she’s played and was named one of the two All-Star Game captains, despite being sidelined for the festivities.
