The Chicago Sky have gotten off to an unfortunate 0-3 start during the 2025 WNBA season. The team's average margin of defeat has been 24.3 points per game, and they are still looking for their first win under new head coach Tyler Marsh.
Rookie guard Hailey Van Lith played sparingly in the team's first two contests, totaling just 19 minutes against the Indiana Fever and New York Liberty. She missed Sunday's 91 to 78 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks because she was nursing an ankle injury.
On Monday, the team announced that Van Lith was questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Phoenix Mercury.
Van Lith and the Sky fans were looking for her to make her return to the lineup against the 3-1 Mercury. She received a positive update on that front just hours before the contest.
Instead of being ruled on during Tuesday's shoot around, coach Marsh reported that she will be a game-time decision for the game against Phoenix.
"Coach Marsh mentioned that Moriah Jefferson and Hailey Van Lith are game-time decisions to play tonight against Phoenix. #Skytown," the account wrote.

Van Lith has scored eight points and dished out six assists through two WNBA contests. She had a career-high six assists against the New York Liberty in her second contest.
The Sky will look to get their first win of the season on Tuesday when they take on the Phoenix Mercury, who are coming off an impressive 68 to 62 victory over the 2-3 Washington Mystics.
