The Chicago Sky were set to face the Seattle Storm, looking to snap a three-game losing streak.

Before the matchup, all eyes were on the updates in the injury report since the Sky have been monitoring the health of Angel Reese.

According to WNBA reporter Karli Bell, Reese entered the day as questionable and was considered a game-time decision for the matchup against the Storm.

Moments before the game, Reese came out of the tunnel in street clothes and the Sky officially ruled her out of the matchup.

Chicago then revealed the starting lineup for the game: Rachel Banham, Kia Nurse, Rebecca Allen, Elizabeth Williams and Kamilla Cardoso.

Angel Reese played in the team's previous matchup against the Minnesota Lynx. Following the WNBA All-Star game, she posted 11 points, 11 rebounds and three assists against the No. 1 team in the WNBA.

Just before the All-Star break, Reese was ruled out due to a leg injury. Now, with a back-to-back, the Sky were likely taking precautionary measures to assure the health of their young superstar.

Throughout her second season in the WNBA, Reese has been averaging 13.8 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.

After the Chicago Sky's back-to-back with matchups against the Minnesota Lynx and the Seattle Storm, Angel Reese can get back into the lineup when they host the Indiana Fever on Sunday.

That game will be in jeopardy of having both Reese and Caitlin Clark out of the lineup. Clark has recently missed time with a groin injury.
