Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese played their fifth and final game together at the 2026 FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament on Tuesday, helping Team USA take down Megan Gustafson and Spain 84-70. While finishing 5-0 in the qualifying tournament, the United States had already qualified for the actual FIBA World Cup in September after winning the 2025 FIBA Women's AmeriCup.

After starting her first game for Team USA in Sunday's win over New Zealand, Clark returned to the bench against Spain. Yet the former Iowa guard continued to fill that stat sheet, posting seven points and seven rebounds in just over 22 minutes of action. Reese, who also came off the bench, added four points and eight rebounds.

Now, the two Team USA stars will turn their attention to the 2026 WNBA season, assuming a new collective bargaining agreement is reached. Clark will enter her third year with the Indiana Fever after missing most of the 2025 season due to multiple injuries. Reese, meanwhile, will also enter her third season with the Chicago Sky, hoping to lead her team to the playoffs for the first time in her career.

Clark and the Fever are scheduled to face Reese and the Sky three times in 2026. The first matchup will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on June 11, while the third and final meeting will be at Wintrust Arena in Chicago on Aug. 23. However, for Clark and the Fever’s first trip to the Windy City on Aug. 8, the Sky elected to move the game to the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls, nearly doubling the capacity of their usual venue.

And on Tuesday, ahead of the Fever vs. Sky game on Aug. 8, Chicago requested fans to purchase tickets for the matchup between Clark and Reese as the team looks to fill the United Center on game day. Along with Indiana, the Sky will also be hosting A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces at the United Center on June 29.

"taking over @UnitedCenter again," the Sky wrote on X. "secure your tickets for our games against the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever starting TODAY!"

Clark and the Fever are scheduled to open the 2026 WNBA season on May 9, hosting Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. Reese and the Sky will be playing the same day, hitting the road to face the Portland Fire, one of the new expansion teams.
