Just days after parting ways with Angel Reese, the Chicago Sky have traded for another member of the 2024 draft class who has ties to Caitlin Clark.

According to ESPN's Alexa Philippou, the Sky have acquired guard Jacy Sheldon from the Washington Mystics in exchange for a 2028 first-round pick. She averaged 7.5 points and 1.9 assists per game during the 2025 season.

Sheldon made headlines last June when the Connecticut Sun played the Indiana Fever. A scuffle broke out on the hardwood after she poked Clark in the eye. For what it's worth, Sheldon's rivalry with Clark dates back to their college days in the Big Ten. With that being said, Sophie Cunningham retaliated later in the Sun-Fever game by throwing Sheldon out of bounds.

We'd have to imagine there'll be plenty of eyes on Sheldon this season when the Fever and Sky square off.

Sky fans aren't thrilled with these offseason moves.

Chicago's fan base was already agitated that Reese was shipping to the Atlanta Dream for a pair of first-round picks. This Saturday's trade for Sheldon has just sparked even more outrage online.

Obviously, the Sky's front office stands by their decision to trade away Reese.

"The Sky are trading Angel to the Dream in exchange for two first-round picks. This trade is designed to achieve roster balance and represents a great opportunity for all parties," Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca said. "Angel has achieved many record-breaking milestones in her first two years in the WNBA and has been a competitive force for the Sky. We are thankful for her many important contributions to this league and this game, and we know she will continue to have a big impact on the court and beyond. We wish Angel all the best in her next chapter."

It'll be interesting to see how the revamped Sky perform during the 2026 season.
