The Chicago Sky ended their two-game losing streak on Wednesday with an 87-76 win over Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings at Wintrust Arena.
Leading the charge for the Sky was veteran forward-guard Rebecca Allen, who went off against the Wings for a season-high 27 points on 9-of-13 shooting, six rebounds, three assists and five triples in 27 minutes off the bench.
It was one of the best performances of Allen's 10-year WNBA career. In fact, she was just one point shy of her career-high mark.
Wednesday's win was largely thanks to Allen's offensive explosion, and her Sky teammates made sure to show her some love after her big game. Angel Reese led the celebrations by lifting Allen up and parading her around a bit shortly after the final buzzer.

Allen took center stage in the postgame press conference, and one of the things she was asked was about Reese's gesture after the victory. The 32-year-old admitted that it was a somewhat mortifying experience for her.
"Oh wild, I was so embarrassed," Allen said. "... Yeah, I really like Angel. Picking me up, she knows I'd be embarrassed with that too, so that's why she did it. I mean, that was a lot of fun. Did not expect it at all.
"But, I mean, it also speaks to the chemistry that we have within this team."

It was all in good fun, and it seems that Allen did appreciate the gesture from Reese, despite being left red-faced by it.
Allen will be looking to pick up right where she left off when the Sky return to action on Saturday in a big game against the league-best Minnesota Lynx.
