The Chicago Sky have struggled to find their way so far during the 2025 WNBA season as they have an 0-4 record in the early going.

This four-game losing streak to begin the year is tied for the worst start in franchise history. New Sky head coach Tyler Marsh is still seeking his first win as a WNBA head coach.

Tuesday's 94 to 89 loss to the 4-1 Phoenix Mercury was an improvement. Chicago lost by just five points after falling by a total of 73 points in the previous three games against the Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Los Angeles Sparks.

Newly-added guard Ariel Atkins led the Way for the Sky on Tuesday evening. She chipped in a season-high 21 points, as well as six rebounds and two assists.

The eight-year veteran is in her first season with the Chicago Sky after spending the previous seven with the Washington Mystics. Still, Atkins is not mincing words with her new franchise, as she spoke up after the team's loss to the Mercury.

"We're hungry for it," Atkins said. "We just gotta keep fighting honestly and just continue to get better and stick together."

Through four games, Atkins is averaging a team-high 12.3 points per game, as well as 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest. The five-time WNBA All-Defense selection is also contributing 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks per night.

The Sky will have another opportunity to get into the win column on Thursday night. They will host Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings, who have a 1-4 record, at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The game will tip off at 8:00 p.m. EST.
