The NFL must think Caitlin Clark is something special. Clark was invited by the NFL owners to address their annual meeting in West Palm Beach next week about women in sports.

Clark will participate in the special session for NFL team owners and personnel along with tennis icon Serena Williams and Broncos co-owner Mellody Hobson. Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, who is working in the Giants' front office, will also be on the panel.

The program features a panel discussion on women's sports and the NFL's desire to get involved with flag football at the local level.

Flag football is very important to the NFL. It is a good way to get women involved in the game. Further, the sport will be introduced to the world in the Summer Olympics in 2028 in Los Angeles.

The Olympics will feature the sport for both men and women.

"Flag football is a high priority of ours. It's an opportunity young women to participate in our game.....and as we look forward, there definitely seems to be an appetite and interest in a professional flag football league for both men and women," said NFL executive vice president Jeff Miller. "So, its a continuation of the growth in women's sports, and the role that the NFL can play in it."

Clark’s meteoric rise through college basketball at Iowa and now in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever, there has been ,increased national exposure, team construction projects, and moves of Indiana Fever games to larger venues.

“We don’t get an opportunity to talk about this enough, just the explosion of women in sports,” said Troy Vincent, NFL EVP of football operations. “This is happening across the globe, and we want to continue that conversation among our membership.”

Serena Williams is a part-owner of the Dolphins, while Clark has expressed interest in eventually buying a stake in an NFL team. Clark has been seen at Kansas City Chiefs games with gal pal, pop-diva Taylor Swift.
