Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers was named WNBA Rookie of the Month for July on Monday, becoming the only rookie to repeat this season and the fourth player in franchise history to earn the honor multiple times.

Bueckers, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, led all rookies in scoring (18.2), assists (5.2), and steals (1.8) per game during July. She is the only player in the league to rank in the top 10 in all three categories for both the month and the season.

Through 23 games, Bueckers leads all WNBA rookies in scoring (18.3) and assists (5.5), while ranking second in steals (1.8), fifth in blocks (0.6), and sixth in rebounds (3.9). Her scoring average ranks seventh among all players, with her assists and steals ranking ninth and fifth, respectively.

Bueckers scored 20 or more points in five of nine games played in July, leading all rookies in 20-point performances. She now ranks sixth in the WNBA this season in total 20-point games and has passed Sandy Brondello for third in Wings franchise history for 20-point games by a rookie.

On July 30, Bueckers surpassed 400 career points, tying Cynthia Cooper (1997) as the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 400 points and 100 assists, accomplishing the milestone in just 22 games.

Bueckers has already climbed into the top 10 in franchise rookie history for total points, assists, and steals, continuing a standout first season that has positioned her as a frontrunner for WNBA Rookie of the Year honors.

Coming off a performance with 22 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals against the Indiana Fever, Bueckers will look to build on her recent momentum going into two straight games versus the defending champion New York Liberty, beginning on Tuesday. She is on a three-game streak of scoring 20 or more points and has scored in double figures in every game she’s played this season.
