The Dallas Wings are fighting to get out of the WNBA's basement, a place they have been relegated to for a good chunk of the last 15 years or so.
They came into Tuesday with a 3-12 record, but they earned a 68-55 victory over the Atlanta Dream, who have one of the better records in the league. Rookie star Paige Bueckers struggled a bit, going just 6-of-15 from the field, but they got some help from an unexpected source.
Li Yueru, a 6-foot-7 center who is originally from China, scored 10 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in 34 minutes to contribute to Dallas' victory.

Yueru is in her third WNBA season after spending last year with the Los Angeles Sparks. The Seattle Storm traded her to Dallas on June 14 for future second-round and third-round draft picks.
In 13 games so far this year, she's averaging 4.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.2 minutes a game. However, she has been getting more playing time lately.
On Friday, Yueru registered 11 points, nine rebounds and three assists and hit all six of her free throw attempts while playing 24 minutes in a win over the Connecticut Sun.
While Dallas has a 4-12 record, it has now won three of its last four games. It is starting to heat up just in time for Friday's showdown versus the Indiana Fever. That game will be a showdown between Bueckers, this year's likely Rookie of the Year, and Caitlin Clark, last season's Rookie of the Year.
