PHOENIX — Two-time WNBA Champion DeWanna Bonner is looking to move on from the Indiana Fever and is eyeing the Phoenix Mercury as one of her landing options.
Bonner previously played with the Mercury from 2009 to 2019 before being traded to the Connecticut Sun in 2020. She signed a one-year deal with the Indiana Fever in February 2025. Bonner and the Fever seem to want to part ways, according to Annie Costabile from Front Office Sports.
The six-time All-Star is looking towards a reunion with the Mercury, or possibly starting a new chapter with the Atlanta Dream.
There has been no comment from Bonner or her agent, Mike Cound, over the matter, according to Costabile.
During her time in Indiana, Bonner played in nine games, averaging 7.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
Bonner won her two WNBA Titles with the Phoenix Mercury in 2009 and 2014.
DeWanna Bonner has no interest in returning to play for the Fever, per @AnnieCostabile.
Bonner’s preferred landing spots are the Mercury or Dream.
