The Chicago Sky are currently on a two-game losing streak, and unfortunately for them, they are not expected to get back into the win column any time soon.
Angel Reese and company have been blown out in their last couple of games, with the Indiana Fever destroying them by 27 points (79-52) and the Liberty taking them down by 19 points (85-66). The Sky are 2-6 on the season, with their only wins coming against the Dallas Wings.
Out of their six losses so far, they have lost by double digits five times.
The Sky have also been the second-worst team in both offensive and defensive ratings, providing little hope that they will be able to turn things around.
That being said, when Chicago plays the Atlanta Dream at the Gateway Center on Friday, the Windy City squad is not expected to win at all.
According to ESPN's Matchup Predictor, the Sky have only a 21.9% chance to win the game, while the Dream are at 78%.
It's not surprising, though, especially since the Dream are one of the better teams this 2025 campaign. While Chicago continues to struggle, Atlanta has been off to a hot start, compiling a 6-3 record.
In the Dream's most recent game against the Fever, Allisha Gray and Brionna Jones combined for 44 points and 16 rebounds to blow out the Caitlin Clark-less squad, 77-58.
It will certainly be interesting to see if the Sky can match up with a much-better Dream team. Angel Reese did ask Chicago to step up defensively if they want to start winning, and the team will certainly need to do that against one of the best offensive teams in the WNBA this season.
