ESPN Ranks Top 10 WNBA Players Ahead Of 2025 Season Opener

With the WNBA season set to begin next week, ESPN has ranked the top players in the league, including Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark. 

ESPN didn't include Clark in its preseason top 25 in 2024. She quickly proved the network wrong, averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game. Not only did she earn All-Star honors, she legitimately entered the MVP conversation during the second half of the season. 

To the surprise of absolutely no one, ESPN gave Clark her flowers in this year's preseason top 25. In fact, she was ranked inside of the top five. 

"Clark dazzled as a rookie, particularly in the second half of the season, on her way to earning first-team All-WNBA honors and finishing fourth in MVP voting," ESPN's Alexa Philippou wrote. "Now, with a real offseason under her belt to work on her game and some time to mentally recharge, she looks poised to have a memorable sophomore campaign. With a new coach and some key free agency additions, Clark will have to adjust to playing in a new system and with new teammates, but spending all offseason training in Indianapolis with Fever coach Stephanie White and her staff should help ease the transition."
