The Indiana Fever and New York Liberty faced off in both team's first game back since the WNBA All-Star break.

Indiana was looking to bounce back, having lost to the Liberty in their final game of the first half of the WNBA season. Just before All-Star weekend, New York defeated Indiana 98-77.

The Fever would have to do so without Caitlin Clark, who's now missed the last two games for Indiana due to a groin injury.

Clark re-aggravated the injury against the Connecticut Sun, having previously missed five games with the setback.

Before the Indiana Fever's matchup against the Liberty, Stephanie white spoke on Clark's injury.

White explained that there is no update on Caitlin Clark's timeline for a return to the lineup, but the Fever star did meet with another doctor this morning.

The Fever coach mentioned that she has yet to speak with the trainers to discuss the meeting with the medical staff, per Chloe Peterson.

The Indiana Fever have now played 12 games this season with Caitlin Clark out of the lineup. She missed time earlier in the year due to a leg injury.

Despite the loss of Clark, the Fever have received tremendous contributions from their backcourt, including Lexie Hull, Sophie Cunningham, and Aari McDonald.

Throughout her second season in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark has posted 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game for the Indiana Fever.

Clark leads the Fever in average assists and is No. 2 in scoring behind Kelsey Mitchell.
