It's not just Caitlin Clark who will be representing the Indiana Fever in the WNBA All-Star Game on July 19. Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell will take part in the festivities as well after both players were named as All-Stars for the third consecutive year.
Fever coach Stephanie White could not be more proud of her Big 3. Speaking to reporters on Monday, the first-year Indiana shot-caller expressed how much admiration she has for this trio, who form the Fever's core.
“Those three have been killers," White said after Monday’s practice, via Joshua Heron of IndyStar. "They’ve done an outstanding job.
"They continue to get better. They continue to embrace the impact that they have on this organization while continuing to be hungry for more.”
As White indicated in her statement, these three are highly motivated individuals who are in the same boat in terms of bringing a championship to Indiana for the first time since 2012.
It has been an up-and-down season thus far for the Fever, but they were able to secure their first-ever WNBA Commissioner's Cup title last week, even with Clark sidelined with a groin injury.
Clark is set to return to action on Wednesday when the Fever host the Golden State Valkyries at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The 23-year-old has finally been given the clearance to play after missing the last five games.
The Indiana faithful are hoping that the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year's comeback will mark a turning point for the team's campaign, as they look to challenge for the championship come October.
