Fever Coach Stephanie White Sends Strong Message on Aliyah Boston

The Indiana Fever continue to play without WNBA star Caitlin Clark.

Indiana has played a majority of the season without their star guard. Clark, having played only 13 games this season, has been without the Fever during their five-game win streak.

The Fever extended their streak to five games after defeating the Seattle Storm 78-74.

After the matchup against the Storm, Stephanie White spoke on the influence of Aliyah Boston, who's currently playing in her third season with the Indiana Fever.

"She's even keel, she's high IQ, everybody trusts her on both ends of the floor," White said. "She's our backbone. She's been tremendous for us all season long. You see when teams key on her defensively and they're not allowing her to get a score, she finds the open player, she makes the right play and that's huge for us."

While Caitlin Clark has been out of the lineup, Boston has taken over much of the responsibility as the Swiss Army knife on the offensive end.

Aliyah Boston has been a WNBA All-Star in all three seasons she's been active with the Indiana Fever.

Throughout her third season with the Fever, Boston has posted 15.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Boston leads the team in rebounding and is No. 3 in scoring behind Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell.

As White mentioned, Boston has grown as a facilitator, set to average a career high in average assists.

Boston has helped the Fever defeat the following teams in their five-game win streak: Las Vegas Aces, Chicago Sky, Phoenix Mercury, Dallas Wings and Seattle Storm.
