So far, Indy’s playoff journey is defined by resilience, and Game 3 against the Aces just adds another layer to that story. With five season-ending injuries, the spotlight has shifted to other key contributors, including Lexie Hull. She’s been battling back pain, but as she did with her raccoon eyes, she confirmed she’ll suit up. But it won’t be that easy.
As HC put it better in a pregame press conference, “I think it’s tough the way we’re playing her (Hull). They really do keep four people in the paint, and so it’s tough to get her touches. I think she’s got to get out of screens a little faster. Maybe we can get some touches on the move.” White acknowledged the challenges Indy’s got to face in maximizing their offensive flow, particularly in getting their players the right touches.
She also admitted the team needs sharper execution, noting, “We’re not great right now with recognizing and getting her the ball on time and target. There are three or four possessions a game where she’s got somebody beat, and we’re just taking one too many dribbles.” For Indiana, attention to detail could be the difference between survival and elimination.
