It wasn't just Caitlin Clark who was out of action for the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night. Clark, who is expected to miss at least one more game with a quad injury, was joined on the sidelines by offseason recruit Sophie Cunningham, who was unable to suit up against the Washington Mystics due to an ankle issue.
Both guards were relegated to the bench on Tuesday as they were left with no choice but to play the role of cheerleaders for their squad.
Cunningham caught wind of a photo of herself and Clark from the game. In it, the two are shown in the Jumbotron at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with similar worrying expressions on their faces.
"Why do we look like we got in trouble???" Cunningham commented on the photo.

Clark and Cunningham were snapped during a crucial juncture in the game. At that point in time, there were less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter as the Fever held on to a precarious five-point lead.
The tense situation could explain the expression on their faces.
Thankfully for the Fever, there was no actual "trouble" on Tuesday night as they secured an 85-76 win over Washington to mark their first victory in four games. Indiana improved to 3-4 after Tuesday's victory, and they will now prepare to face their biggest rivals, the Chicago Sky, in a road game on Saturday.
Clark won't be available for that matchup, and it remains to be seen at this point if Cunningham will be able to play against Angel Reese and Co.
