Fever react to Caitlin Clark’s farewell message before 2026

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark is ready for 2026.

The 2025 WNBA season was filled with challenges for the former Iowa Hawkeyes guard, as she dealt with injuries that held her to only 13 games in her second campaign in the pros.

In a social media post on Tuesday, Clark summed up her experiences in 2025 by sharing a series of snapshots and captioning it with, “2025 you were a year… 2026 I welcome you with open arms let’s get it.”

Clark’s post garnered a lot of reactions from fans and other basketball figures, including her team.

“Let’s gooo,” the Fever’s official Instagram account commented.

Although Clark missed several games due to injuries to her leg and groin, the Fever managed to go 24-20 and make the WNBA playoffs, even defeating the Atlanta Dream in the first round before being eliminated in the semifinals by the eventual league champions, the Las Vegas Aces.

In her second WNBA season, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds. She especially struggled with her shooting, as her effective field goal percentage dropped from 52.2% in 2024 to only 44.1% in 2025.

A major bounce-back season from Clark may be coming for the Fever and the WNBA in 2026.
