The short-handed Indiana Fever continue to play spoiler in the WNBA playoffs.

In the first round of the playoffs, the Fever took down the favored Atlanta Dream and continue to give the Las Vegas Aces and WNBA MVP A'Ja Wilson fits despite missing star guard Caitlin Clark and five other injured players. Indiana took Game 1 against the Aces before Las Vegas bounced back with two straight wins to put the Fever on the brink of elimination.

Stephanie White's team responded in a big way, winning Game 4 90-83 to force a win-or-go-home Game 5 against Las Vegas on Tuesday, Sept. 30.

"The desperation and the urgency that we play with when we're in those positions has been exactly what we need," White said. "And we've just got to bottle that up and take it with us. It's a one-game season right now, and we've got to carry it all over, and we've got to be better."

As the Fever prepare for Game 5, the team announced a troubling update regarding forward Damiris Dantas, who has been out of the lineup since suffering a concussion in practice on Sept. 11. Just a day before the elimination game, the Fever announced Dantas remains out with the concussion, per beat reporter Chloe Peterson.

Indiana will be without Dantas and Clark along with guards Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald and Chloe Bibby, who all suffered season-ending injuries in the regular season.

Despite the mounting injuries, the Fever have a chance to make the WNBA Finals with a win over the Aces on Tuesday night.

Indiana and Las Vegas tip off at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 on Sept. 30.
