Aliyah Boston had to carry a much heavier load for the Indiana Fever this past season. With Caitlin Clark dealing with multiple injuries throughout the campaign, Boston had to step up to help lead Indiana.

Clark played just 13 games in 2025. The Fever shut her down for the second half of the season due to a right groin injury.

Boston was one of the few remaining stars on the Fever roster by the time the WNBA playoffs came. Apart from Clark, Sophie Cunningham and three other players suffered season-ending injuries during the second half of the campaign.

Boston played all 44 games in the regular season, averaging 15.0 points on 53.8% shooting, 8.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 30.2 minutes per contest. She was named an All-Star for a third consecutive season.

Clark made headlines on Tuesday after NBC revealed that the Fever superstar will be joining the network’s broadcast for two NBA games. NBC is calling Clark a “special contributor.”

Clark will join the broadcast team for Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. The 23-year-old will return to the booth on March 29 for a game between the Knicks and the defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Boston caught wind of the news and shared her reaction via social media. The Fever center had two words for Clark.

“Perioddddd Babessss ” Boston posted on Instagram

Clark expressed how much she’s looking forward to her first-ever NBA broadcast.

“I’m really excited to be part of the Basketball Night in America crew this season,” Clark said in a statement released by NBC. “Carmelo [Anthony], Vince [Carter], and Tracy [McGrady] are legends of the game and Maria [Taylor] is a true professional. It will be really fun to join them a few times this season.”

Clark and Boston are two of just three Fever players who are under contract with the team for 2026. Everybody else on the roster is a free agent and will need to negotiate new deals to keep their place on the squad.
