Fever Turn Caitlin Clark Statement Into 5-Word Message Following Win vs. Dream

Caitlin Clark doesn't often struggle on a basketball court. Thursday night, however, was one of those rare cases when Clark couldn't find her shot. Clark took the court for the Fever's first road-game of the season against the Atlanta Dream on an insane 3-point streak.

Clark had made at least one 3-pointer in every game she's played since Jan. 13, 2022. As of Thursday, that was 1,225 days ago. Clark's streak was snapped Thursday, after she went 0-for-5 from 3-point range.

Clark would finish with just 11 points on 4-for-11 shooting, adding six assists, four rebounds, and one steal. The entire Fever roster, not named Natasha Howard, struggled on Thursday. Howard dropped 26 points on 12-for-17 shooting from the field, leading the Fever to a hard-fought 81-76 victory.

The Fever followed their first loss of the season, 91-90 to the Dream, with their first road-win against the Dream.

Clark made a brutally honest statement following the game.

"Good dub. Ugly, but we found a way to win," Clark said.

The Fever took Clark's statement, turned into a strong five-word message, and posted it on their official X account.

"found a way to win," the post reads.

The short video posted to the Fever's official X account features multiple players, who all had a quick message, as they made their way to the locker room, following the road win.

"Fever Dub!" Aliyah Boston said.

"Whoo!" both Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham screamed.

"Fever!" Brianna Turner said.

The Fever will return home for a Saturday matchup with the defending champion, New York Liberty. The Liberty are 2-0 after wins over the Las Vegas Aces and Chicago Sky. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. EDT on CBS.

Clark will look to drain one from long range on Saturday, getting another 3-point streak started. She has averaged 3.0 made 3-pointers per game through her 43-game WNBA career.
