Fever’s Caitlin Clark Reacts to Off-Court Announcement on Tuesday

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are coming off a 107-104 loss against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings in their season opener on Saturday. Bueckers contributed 20 points on an efficient 8-for-10 shooting performance, while Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 22 points.

Kelsey Mitchell had a team-high 30 points for Indiana, while Clark led the Fever in assists with seven. Clark struggled shooting, going 2-for-9 from behind the arc and 7-for-18 from the field for 20 points. Now in her third year in the WNBA, Clark is one of the most recognizable names in American sports. The Dowling Catholic High School graduate has partnerships with Nike, Gatorade, State Farm, Panini, and Xfinity.

Another endorsement in her portfolio is with Wilson Sporting Goods. In May 2024, Clark signed with Wilson, becoming the first female athlete to have a signature basketball collection with the company. Wilson has released several basketball collections celebrating the former Iowa Hawkeyes star, and on Tuesday, Wilson provided an update on the collection.

Wilson Basketball took to social media to announce that the Caitlin Clark Signature Series is fully restocked and available. Listed below is the full line of collections available on the website, along with an option for fans to custom-make their own ball.

That same day, Clark went to Instagram to react to the announcement. On her Instagram Story, the 6-foot guard posted a screenshot of the Wilson promotion with “Ready Aim Restocked Simply Caitlin. Always Basketball” written in the image, along with the Wilson logo, her signature, and examples from the product line. She also tagged @wilsonbasketball in the image.

“From the Oasis to the Envision, the Caitlin Clark Signature Series is fully restocked and ready to take the court,” Wilson wrote in the Instagram caption. “Shop the full collection today, available now at Wilson.com. #WilsonBasketball #BondedByBall #CaitlinClarkSignatureSeries #WNBA.”

Indiana will face Kelsey Plum and the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. ET.
