Fever’s Lexie Hull Reacts to Caitlin Clark’s Change in Appearance

There is only about one week to go before the start of the 2025 WNBA season, and one of the teams fans are most hyped about watching is the Indiana Fever.

The Fever went 20-20 and got swept in the first round of the playoffs as 2024 Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark single-handedly made them respectable. This year, they will look to take a big step forward and possibly even contend for the championship.

As great as Clark was last year, she still has much room for improvement. Teammate Lexie Hull told a reporter that Clark showed up the other day wearing a sleeve on her shooting arm, something she doesn't normally do.

"She showed up with something on her arm the other day and somehow it turned out OK," Hull replied when asked who on the Fever is most likely to wear something "wild."

"It was just a shooting sleeve, but for her, that was pretty wild."

Clark averaged 19.2 points and a league-high 8.4 assists a game last year and was named to the All-Star team. She shot just 41.7% from the field, so she can still become a lot better offensively, and perhaps a shooting sleeve could help her efforts to do just that.

In college at Iowa, she became the NCAA's all-time leading career scorer among both women and men by surpassing Pete Maravich's record. In four years with the Hawkeyes, she averaged 28.4 points on 46.2% field-goal shooting, 8.2 assists and 7.1 rebounds a game, and she led the team to the national championship game, where it lost to Angel Reese and LSU.

The Fever have a promising young core that includes Clark, Hull, guard Kelsey Mitchell and forward Aliyah Boston. Fans are also hoping the team keeps Makayla Timpson, a forward Indiana took in the second round of last month's WNBA draft.

Timpson averaged 17.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.1 blocks and 1.8 steals a game this past season for Florida State.
