The Indiana Fever are on the road on Wednesday night as they travel to take on the Los Angeles Sparks in an interconference matchup.
Indiana enters Wednesday’s game with a 0-1 record after losing at home to the Dallas Wings in their season opener on Saturday afternoon.
In Saturday’s loss to the Wings, Kelsey Mitchell led the way for the Fever as she recorded 30 points, three rebounds and four assists while Caitlin Clark added 20 points, five rebounds and seven assists of her own.
Now Indiana will try to bounce back on the road on Wednesday as they face off against the Sparks.
On the other side, Los Angeles enters Wednesday’s contest with a 0-1 record after losing at home to the Las Vegas Aces in their season opener on Sunday night.
Kelsey Plum led the way for the Sparks in Sunday’s loss as she ended the game with 27 points and four rebounds while Nneka Ogwumike recorded 19 points and 10 rebounds.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night’s matchup, both squads may be without one of their key players due to injury.
For the Fever, they enter Wednesday’s matchup with a clean injury report as they have nobody listed on it, including forward Monique Billings.
Of course, Billings missed Saturday’s loss due to a sprained ankle but she is off the injury report and will return against the Sparks on Wednesday.
Fever forward Monique Billings is off the injury report and could make her season debut back home in Los Angeles.
