Final Injury Report for Lynx-Sky: Will Napheesa Collier, Gabriela Jaquez Play?

The Minnesota Lynx are on the road on Friday night as they travel to take on the Chicago Sky in an interconference matchup.

Minnesota enters Friday’s game with a 5-2 record after defeating the Atlanta Dream at home on Wednesday night.

In Wednesday’s victory over the Dream, Natasha Howard led the way for the Lynx as she recorded 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists while Courtney Williams added 25 points, three rebounds and seven assists of her own.

Now Minnesota will try to grab another victory on Friday as the team faces off against the Sky in a tough road matchup.

On the other side, Chicago enters Friday’s contest with a 3-4 record after losing at home to the Toronto Tempo on Wednesday night.

Skylar Diggins led the way for the Sky in Wednesday’s loss as she ended the game with 23 points and nine assists while Sydney Taylor scored 27 points off the bench.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Friday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

Lynx Injury Report: Will Napheesa Collier Play?

For the Lynx, they have three players listed on their injury report, including star forward Napheesa Collier.

Minnesota has ruled out Collier due to a right ankle injury that has sidelined her to begin the season and she is expected to be out until early June.

The Lynx have also ruled out Dorka Juhasz due to a right mid-foot sprain that is expected to side her for at least two more weeks while Emma Cechova is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

Sky Injury Report: Will Gabriela Jaquez, DiJonai Carrington Play?

On the other side, the Sky have four players listed on their injury report, including both Gabriela Jaquez and DiJonai Carrington.

Chicago has ruled out Jaquez due to a left knee injury as she will miss her second consecutive contest.

The Sky have also ruled out Carrington as she remains sidelined to begin the season while recovering from left foot surgery.

Courtney Vandersloot has also been ruled out as she continues to recover from right knee surgery while Rickea Jackson will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.
