While Caitlin Clark had electrified fans with her impressive performances on the court, it is a shock that she isn’t invincible either. The Indiana Fever star had been on a shooting struggle in past games, failing to deliver expectations from most fans. However, Lexie Hull’s mother, Jaime Hull, makes it clear that Clark will have her and the Fever’s 100% support.
On Wednesday, Jaime Hull reposted Caitlin Clark’s one-minute ad from ESPN+’s “Full Court Press” series on her X/Twitter account. The commercial was about why Clark chose basketball but doubted herself, then regained her motivation after seeing her young self be proud of her achievements—a perfect clip, given the star guard’s struggles today.
Hull captioned her tweet with a short message for Clark:
“Love this! You got this @CaitlinClark22!!,” the caption said. “WE BELIEVE IN YOU!!! Now go have some fun playing the game you love. @IndianaFever @lexiehulll #gotyourbackgirl

Since returning from her left quad injury, Caitlin Clark scored 32 points, including seven three-pointers, against the New York Liberty. She then followed it with 20 points and four shots from the field against the Connecticut Sun, where she got involved in a huge brawl with the Suns’ Marina Mabrey and Jacy Sheldon, garnering huge controversy.
However, since that point, the former Iowa standout has deeply struggled. She only scored a total of 36 points in her last three games, shooting only one out of 23 three-point attempts. Moreover, many believed that Clark’s sluggish performances began with her confrontation with the Suns, a rumor seemingly widespread nowadays. No fan had ever seen Caitlin Clark, a three-point expert, facing such a challenge before.
Caitlin Clark had an underwhelming performance following Tuesday’s Indiana Fever’s 94-86 victory against the Seattle Storm. She only scored six points in 23.1% efficiency, two rebounds, and nine assists. Despite Clark’s struggles, the Fever had made sure that they’d make up for it.
Speaking in the post-game interview, teammate Lexie Hull, who scored 15 points with 60% efficiency and 11 rebounds that night, backed up Clark amidst the poor shooting she was facing. Hull made it clear that the Fever aren’t in a huge crisis due to their superstar guard’s problems.
“She’ll be fine. We are not worried about it. She’s a great shooter, great player, this happens to every great player,” Hull said.
