The Chicago Sky picked up their first win of the 2025 WNBA season, defeating the Dallas Wings at Wintrust Arena on Thursday night. Entering this game 0-4, Chicago had a great opportunity against a Dallas team that had started just 1-4 through five games.

Led by rookie guard Paige Bueckers, Dallas made a strong bid for its second win of the season, but came up short in the fourth quarter. Bueckers finished with arguably her best game at the WNBA level, tallying 15 points, five rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and three steals while converting on six of her 11 field goal attempts.

While it came in a loss, this line made history for Bueckers. The 2025 No. 1 overall pick joined an exclusive list of WNBA players to record at least 15 points, five rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and three steals in a single game.

The others are Caitlin Clark, Candace Parker and Angel McCoughtry (h/t Basketball Reference's StatHead).

It has been and up-and-down start to Buecker's WNBA career. The 6-foot-0 guard entered Thursday averaging 14.6 points, 6.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds. Raising those averages across the board in the loss to Chicago, Buecker's had a strong all-around showing.

With this win, Chicago improves to 1-4. The Sky will now travel to Dallas for a rematch with the Wings on Saturday. After that, they will get a week off before hosting a Clark-less Indiana Fever team on June 7.

The only winless team remaining in the WNBA is the Connecticut Sun who sit at 0-5.
