'I Just Want To Be Unstoppable': Angel Reese Sends WNBA On Notice After Triple-Double Night
Indiana Fever forward Natasha Howard (6) guards Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5) on Saturday, May 17, 2025, during a game between the Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky has addressed recent criticism she received, with some observers especially criticizing her production and rhythm. Despite that she faced some challenges and adversity early in the season, Reese said she is ready to take her game to another level.

In a recent post-game press conference, Angel Reese talked about wanting to work on her overall game and eventually be the player that she called “unstoppable.”

“I just want to be unstoppable,” Reese told reporters. “I want to get to a point where it’s hard to guard because they have to guard the pass, they have to guard the shot. I think some of the best players in the world, if their shot is not falling, they find other ways to get the team together and stay involved.”

This sentiment came following weeks of critics blasting her for her performance, even at one point inventing the term “mebounds” to poke fun at her rebound stats, saying that most of her rebounds only came from her missed shots.

Reese was also criticized for her mediocre shooting stats, with a group of content creators even recently making a fake betting line on her missing every first shot of all of her games.

Recently, Reese also finally addressed the “mebounds” memes and criticism, and clapped back at her trolls for, as she claimed, even giving her more business ideas.

“Whoever came up with the ‘mebounds’ thing,” Reese started in one TikTok video she posted, before following up with finger claps. “Y’all ate that up because rebounds, mebounds, crebounds, keybounds, teebounds … anything that comes off that board, it’s mine.”

Reese, so far, has built an empire of her brand outside of the WNBA, ranging from her merch even her podcast show.

Has Angel Reese Trademarked The Word “Mebounds”?

Apparently, Angel Reese herself is ware of the people poking fun on her rebounding and her rebound stats and the term “mebounds.” However, instead of angrily clapping back at her critics and haters, Reese seemingly chose to make business out of the meme as she was spotted to have filed for a trademark for the word “mebounds.”

As spotted by some fans on X, Angel Reese’s business entity recently filed for the registration of the term “mebounds,” particularly for merchandise use. This suggests that Reese’s team is looking to eventually own the word and profit from it through branded products and merch.
