The Indiana Fever are looking to make some noise in the postseason, working under first-year head coach Stephanie White.

Indiana has seen flashes of success this season, but consistency has been an issue for the Fever. They currently stand at 7-7 on the season, recently defeating the Seattle Storm.

While the Fever clearly have a star-studded group with players like Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, they've missed production from one of the top scorers in WNBA history, DeWanna Bonner.

After joining the Fever for the 2025 season, news broke that Bonner had requested a departure from Indiana and would not like to continue her career with the team.

Despite pointing out the Phoenix Mercury and the Atlanta Dream as preferred destinations, the Fever made their final decision on Bonner.

According to Chloe Peterson, DeWanna Bonner has been waived by the Indiana Fever.

DeWanna Bonner played nine games for the Indiana Fever before she was continuously ruled out for "personal reasons."

During her time with the Fever, Bonner averaged 7.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Before joining head coach Stephanie White and the Fever for the 2025 season, Bonner played five seasons with the Connecticut Sun and 10 seasons with the Phoenix Mercury.

Upon the release of DeWanna Bonner, the Indiana Fever decided to make an immediate signing. Aari McDonald, who previously joined the team on a hardship contract, re-signed with the Fever.

In her three-game stretch with the Fever earlier this season, McDonald posted 11.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
