After making the WNBA Playoffs for the first time since 2016, the Indiana Fever have made a few significant roster moves during free agency to build around All-WNBA guard Caitlin Clark.
The Fever added defensive versatility and veteran experience with forwards DeWanna Bonner and Natasha Howard and shooting guard Sophie Cunningham.
But they weren't done there. Although news broke on Sunday, the Fever took to social media on Monday to announce that they have officially signed former Chicago Sky forward Brianna Turner.
This particular signing did not come without some pushback.
During the 2024 season, Turner struck a nerve after calling out fans of Clark and the Fever for their unacceptable behavior and rude comments. Turner has since deleted the posts on X.

Some WNBA fans were not happy with the Fever's decision to sign Turner given her previous remarks, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
"The front office is overcooking. Signing a proclaimed hater is something," one fan said.
"Yall really signed a CC & Indiana Fans hater," added another.
"we don’t want her… give us new workout vids please," wrote a third.
"Odd signing, considering she hates your star," claimed a fourth.
"Well of all the bad choices... this is certainly one of them @AmberLCox . Yikes," commented a fifth.
"I’ll be ok with this once an apology is given for the tweets. Until then, this is the opposite of protecting the locker room," posted a sixth.
Turner started her WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury in 2019. After four years, Turner was traded to Chicago in exchange for Kahleah Copper. In her lone season with the Sky, the former Notre Dame star averaged 1.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.5 blocks.
Despite the underwhelming stats, Turner has proven to be a capable defender in the post, getting selected to two WNBA All-Defensive First-Teams. But it remains to be seen if Turner will play a prominent role in the 2025 season with the Fever roster already filling out.
