The Indiana Fever are looking to make it four wins in a row on Thursday when they face off against the Golden State Valkyries on the road. Caitlin Clark has been at the center of their current winning streak, and the Fever will need her to be at her best again on Thursday night.
It is important to note, however, that Clark was forced to sit out one out of these recent three contests due to injury. She watched from the sidelines as Indiana defeated the Portland Fire on May 20. The two-time WNBA All-Star was ruled out just before tipoff due to a back issue.
The Fever have submitted their injury report for Thursday’s game against Golden State. Clark has been listed again, but the good news is that she is probable to play. The team announced Clark’s status via social media.

Clark was also listed as probable to play ahead of their matchup against the Valkyries on Friday. The 6-foot guard was cleared to play and showed no ill effects of the back issue. Barring any unforeseen setbacks, this should be the case again for Thursday’s rematch at Chase Center.
The Fever ran into a bit of trouble with their decision to rule Clark out against the Fire. Apparently, she skipped practice the previous day due to the back issue. Indiana failed to include her in the injury report, prompting a warning from the WNBA.
Clark is having a strong campaign in her third season. She’s played five games thus far, averaging 23.8 points on 43.2% shooting, 4.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 31.0 minutes per contest.
