With the Indiana Fever's 2025 season tipping off Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, the team has signaled that this won’t be just another home opener.
According to Indianapolis Star reporter Chloe Peterson, “the Fever will be wearing their rebel red jerseys today, matching the rally towels.”
The bold red threads nod to Indiana’s storied basketball heritage and sync with the team’s new “Now You Know” campaign, unveiled in April to underscore the Fever’s growing cultural footprint and on-court ambitions.
In 2024, Indiana clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2016, finishing the regular season 20-20 and securing sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Fever's .500 mark last season represented the franchise’s best showing in nearly a decade and underscored the impact of rookie guard Caitlin Clark.
The Des Moines native left Iowa as the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, amassing 3,951 points, while also ranking third all-time in assists with 1,144.
Selected No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark did not miss a beat in her rookie season.
She shattered league rookie records for assists (337) and three-pointers made (122), earned a berth as an All-Star starter, and recorded the first-ever rookie triple-double.
Averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, she was unanimously voted Rookie of the Year.
As Indiana hosts the Sky at 3 p.m. ET, all eyes will be on whether the rebel red brings an extra spark to the Fever and Clark's highly anticipated sophomore campaign.
