The Indiana Fever have lost two straight games, dropping to 4-4 on the season. They will face Angel Reese and the 6-2 Atlanta Dream next on Thursday, so they really need all the help they can get to get back into the win column.
However, the Fever have had two players land on the injury report ahead of the contest. Caitlin Clark has been listed as probable once again amid her lingering back injury, while center-forward Damiris Dantas was added as well.
Dantas has also been given a "probable" designation, but it's not because of an injury. Instead, the Fever cited that it's due to personal reasons.
It's worth noting that Dantas has been absent in the Fever's practices over the last two days. Furthermore, while she's listed as probable — meaning there's a high likelihood that she will play — head coach Stephanie White shared that they are not rushing her back.
"It's day to day, right now, with DD. She's dealing with some personal stuff, and we want to give her the time that she needs to be able to deal with that," White said, per Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star.
Dantas is just one of three players who can anchor the center position for the Fever, so she's definitely an important piece for the franchise, especially since starting center Aliyah Boston is still under a minutes restriction.
The Brazilian star is averaging 4.0 points and 1.0 rebound on 9.3 minutes per game this 2026 season. If she ends up sitting out the Dream game, Makayla Timpson is expected to have an increased workload.
