The Indiana Fever have been keeping up with all the activity in WNBA free agency over the weekend.

Saturday was the first day that teams were allowed to officially sign players to new deals, and Indiana wasted no time. Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham have all signed new contracts with the team, ensuring that the Caitlin Clark-led core remains complete heading into the new season.

Apart from the stars, however, the Fever also need to bring in some fresh faces to ensure that they have a formidable roster for 2026. This includes training camp players, who will compete for a spot on the final roster for the upcoming season.

The Fever’s training camp is scheduled to start on Sunday. This will give the team roughly three weeks to prepare for their season-opener. Indiana’s first game of the 2026 campaign is on May 9 against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings.

The Fever announced on Monday that they have signed two new players for their training camp roster. One of them is guard Kayana Traylor, who started off her WNBA career with the Chicago Sky.

The Sky used their 11th overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft on Traylor, a former Purdue and Virginia Tech standout. Unfortunately, Traylor did not make the final roster in Chicago. She was waived right before the season started.

Traylor eventually landed with the Minnesota Lynx, where she played eight games as a rookie. The 5-foot-9 guard averaged just 1.0 point in 4.4 minutes of action.

Traylor, a native of Martinsville, Indiana, will be hoping to make her mark in training camp. She has an opportunity to impress Stephanie White and her coaching staff, with the ultimate objective of making it to the final roster.

Along with Traylor, the Fever also announced the signing of Megan McConnell to a training camp contract. McConnell went undrafted last year but played one game for the Phoenix Mercury in 2025.
