Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark announced on Thursday that she’s out for WNBA All-Star Weekend.

Clark is dealing with a right groin injury.

“I’m so excited for Indy to host WNBA All-Star this weekend,” Caitlin Clark said. “I want to thank the Indianapolis Host Committee and all of the people that have put endless work in over the past year to put this event together. I know this will be the best All-Star yet.

“I am incredibly sad and disappointed to say I can’t participate in the 3-point contest or the All-Star Game. I have to rest my body. I will still be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for all the action and I’m looking forward to helping Sandy coach our team to a win. Can’t wait to see you all out there!”

Clark tweaked her right groin on July 15 against the Connecticut Sun. She was seen on the bench crying after injuring herself.

Clark has appeared in 13 games this season. She’s averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists while shooting 36.7% from the field, 27.9% from beyond the arc and 82.0% from the free-throw line.

The Fever are 12-10 on the season. They are third in the WNBA in points per game, sixth in points per game allowed, third in offensive rating, sixth in defensive rating and third in net rating.

Clark won the Rookie of the Year Award last season. She was the first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The 23-year-old has career averages of 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists.
